    Guitar Sessions; Part I

First of all, a huge, mega, ultra and uber thanks to Jonathan Barak for helping us setup and configure the mics for our rhythm guitar recordings. Without his help, well... yeah... ;) Thanks a lot Yona. SO, we came to the studio with both our ENGL E650 Blackmore and Mesa Boogie Mark IV, took our time to listen, explore and find just the right tone we were looking for the rhythm and lead guitars (decided to go the ENGL for the rhythm) and then the recording sessions began..

    Bass Recording Sessions

A huge 4x10 cabinet, an Ampeg SVX, 3 Bass guitars (Rhythm - Yamaha, Clean - Tobias, Solo - Tobias Fretless) and 4 and a half hyperactive musicians (one was sick) in the same small room AND it took Iggy just 2 days to record all of the songs! We got a great sound and a great experience out of those two intense bass recording days. Iggy rulez! ;)

    Drum Sessions; Day Two.

We had 3 songs (out of 6) to record on the second day. All went extremely well and we even had enough time left to record some acoustic piano on a beautiful Yamaha C7 ;)

    Drum Sessions; Day One.

Not much to say. We came, set it all up. Started recording and just had so much fun. We managed to record 3 songs out of the whole album... well, there're only 6 songs so we recorded half of the drums for the album! ;) Yogev is a fucking amazing drummer and we can't wait to continue recording the other 3 songs tomorrow. AND we will have decided to record the piano parts in the studio as well, so that's what we'll also be doing tomorrow. Stay tuned for "day two".

    Last day of Drum Practice!

It took him less than a week and yesterday he finally did us the huge favor of uploading those damn pictures... But other than that, Yogev took the whole week off, went to his parents' house in Be'er Sheva and just played the songs all day long, over and over again. We're ready for tomorrow's first Drums recording session!

    Making guides for Drum recording

It's 15:30, Misha and I just finished recording the Vocals to the guides I'm making for Yogev. This week he'll be working on his drum parts, preparing for the drum sessions which are scheduled for the 29th and 30th. Now all I have left to do is record the changes we've made to the songs in the many rehearsals we had this month... Yoav.

    Our Last Rehearsal!

So we had our last rehearsal today.. After many of those, we feel comfortable and ready to enter the studio and start making our debut album. We worked hard to make them sound and flow like we all wanted them too and we're all very excited and anxious to begin.

    Sacrifice's orchestra is complete!

I just finished recording and re-editing the Orchestra for Sacrifice (aka Kono Yume). Since it was originally recorded almost 2 years ago, I must say it was so much easier than the last two... Yoav.

    Finished recording Unfair's orchestra

Even though Unfair was originally composed almost 2 years ago, I lost all of the Orchestral recordings I had... sooooo... had to record everything from the beginning.. Luckily for me, we changed the song so much from its original version, so it "only" took me almost 4 days... Yoav.

    First complete Orchestra: Utopia!

So I started recording the orchestra for the album. Decided to go with Utopia first, mainly because it's a 14 minutes song and has the most orchestral parts of all the songs in the album.. needless to say it took me something like 5 days to complete. I got to play with my newly purchased orchestral libraries and basically establish the sound of the orchestra for the entire track. Yoav.
